Mission

Launched in 2001, the mission of PedJobs is to bring together pediatric health care professionals with employers seeking their services. PedJobs is the only employment resource dedicated exclusively to the field of pediatrics and its subspecialties.

PedJobs for Job Seekers

PedJobs is a free resource for all pediatric health care professionals. The Web site is open to physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and practice managers, as well as other professionals working in the field of child and adolescent health care. You do not need to be a member of the AAP to use PedJobs. Job seekers can search our database without needing to register. However, only registered users can use PedJobs' advanced features (registration is simple and totally free).

Advanced features include:

  • upload multiple versions of your CV and cover letter to apply for positions
  • advertise your CV to employers — or keep it confidential if you wish
  • save your jobs so you can come back to apply when you are ready
  • arrange for new jobs delivered to your RSS reader
  • create e-mail alerts that notify you when a position is available that meets your criteria
  • view statistics that tell you how many times your CV has been viewed
  • view history of applications sent online and retrieve cover letters and other correspondence
  • participate in the annual AAP Career Fair

PedJobs for Employers

Advertising your position on PedJobs gives employers direct exposure to the qualified individuals they seek. You have the opportunity to use matching tools to refine your search — resulting in a simple, effective way for you to pre-screen your options. You must register to submit and pay for an advertisement, and also be able to search the CV database.

Advanced features include:

  • list your open job as a Featured Position for $175
  • search on multiple criteria
  • search among your results
  • send an e-mail to a candidate
  • view applications to each of your open positions, sorted by date range
  • view reports, including applications by job, date range, date, applicant by date range, active job statistics, and inactive job statistics

You may also expand the reach of your ad with the click of a mouse. If you choose, you can also have your ad printed in Pediatrics and/or AAP News, both of which are distributed to approximately 63,000 AAP members and other health care professionals every month.
